Chopped Dried Epazote is used as a leaf vegetable and herb. Traditionally used with black beans for flavour and its carminative properties, it has a flavour similar to the liquorice taste of anise, fennel, or even tarragon, but stronger.

Use this Chopped Dried Epazote to add a fragrant, grassy kick to Mexican beans or when frying mushrooms. Epazote is often confused with Mexican oregano, but it is a different plant with a more perfumed and ‘green’ flavour. This handy little jar is ideal to keep on your spice rack, and use little and often in authentic Mexiacn recipes.
