Palo Santo is the wood of the Bursera graveolens tree, native to South America, which is burned to release an aromatic smoke used to purify spaces, improve mood, and promote relaxation and meditation. Its name means "sacred wood," and it is traditionally used as a form of incense to cleanse energy and attract positive vibrations.
It comes from the Bursera graveolens species, also known as palo santo or "holy wood."
The wood has a sweet, woody, citrusy scent that is released when burned.
Its smoke has purifying, calming, and energy-clearing properties.
Traditional Uses:
Use:Set fire to a small stick or piece of Palo Santo, letting it burn for a 30 seconds, then extinguish the flame: Extinguish the flame so the wood begins to smoke.
Purify the space: The smoke can be passed over the body, objects, or the corners of a room to cleanse the energy.
