Carob Syrup - Algarrobina 500ml

This syrup is produced from pale carob breads in Peru. The extract is a syrup that is reached by boiling of the pulp in water very slowly until the preferred concentration and structure is reached.

It adds sweetness with a touch of bitterness and is the primary ingredient in one of the most famous Peruvian cocktails: The Algarrobinas cocktail.

Carob syrup is also used as a sweetener in milk or fruit smoothies and desserts. In traditional Peruvian medicine, the extract is valued as a tonic that carries minerals such as iron and calcium and vitamins and sugar of high physiological value.
